Are you familiar with the 32 new laws signed by Newson for 2025? Of course not.

Summary:

I am only presenting this to show that if you have assets, they will regulate, tax, and confiscate them if you don't play ball with complex rules. California passes at least 1,000 new laws yearly, year after year, and rarely gets rid of bad legislation.

Personal liability comes with every new law when a property owner fails to subscribe.

So, please don't try to understand each bill; acknowledge the magnitude.

AB 2243 amends AB 2011 housing on commercial property, developers will be able to receive streamlined approval in more areas than they do now, including regional malls and land closer to freeways

AB 3093, from Assemblymember Chris Ward (D-San Diego), requires that local municipalities plan for housing available to households between 0% and 15% of the area median income and 15% to 30%. Currently, communities with the lowest income bracket must plan for less than 50%. B 1037, from State Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), requires communities to face civil penalties of up to $50,000 a month for as long as a violation persists.
