Didn't you have enough conversation at work today? It's usually the other way around: Wives stuck at home can't have enough conversation when their husbands come home. 

But, I'm waiting for the news with Edward R. Morrow to come on TV. He is the only reliable newscaster who tells the truth. 

Mr. Morrow, a broadcast journalist known for his commitment to truth, was a household name in the 1950s. 

When I say 'he talks my leg off,' I mean he's a bit of a chatterbox.

It's just a fun way to say that he talks a lot. If I reversed this and said, "She talks my leg off," 

I would be in double trouble. Any couple who's been together for a while can relate to this simple humor. It's so familiar that it's almost comforting in its predictability.
