Honey, Most of the Time, Things Seem Normal with You… Until They Don’t

Most days, life with you feels like a calm sitcom—laugh track included.  Then, for no apparent reason, you get mad at Minutes, warning, no foreshadowing, just a plot twist worthy of a season finale.  It’s like we’re all living in our own little sitcom.

Sometimes, I have difficulty figuring out how to interact with you.  Should I speak?  Should I nod silently like a bobblehead?  Or should I crawl under the dining table and hope for a reboot?

Pins and needles are not the way.  I’ve tried that.  It turns out walking on eggshells only makes omelets—and not the good kind.

So, here’s my proposal: Let’s relax and make every effort to get along.  Maybe even create a treaty.  We can call it the Domestic Peace Accord of 2025.  Articles will include:

  • Article I: No sudden mood swings before coffee.
  • Article II: Arguments must be scheduled via Google Calendar.
  • Article III: Sarcasm is allowed, but only if accompanied by snacks.

Because honestly, life’s too short to turn every Tuesday into a Cold War reenactment.  Let’s aim for détente—preferably with wine.

Conclusion

In the end, maybe the secret to domestic harmony isn’t another treaty or a family dinner summit—it’s simpler.  Picture this: a man sitting at the table, turkey untouched, scrolling through his phone, while his dog waits patiently underfoot like the last bastion of unconditional love.

The dog doesn’t care about mood swings, Wi-Fi passwords, or whether “carving the bird” is trending on TikTok.  The dog wants a piece of that bird—and maybe a belly rub.

So when life feels like pins and needles, remember this: be more like the dog.  Loyal, forgiving, and thrilled by leftovers.  Because at the end of the day, gravy runs out, notifications pile up, but a wagging tail?  That’s forever.  And a good laugh?  That’s the best way to keep the peace.
