Poor as a Church Mouse

It is an idiom to describe someone who has little money and possessions.

Personally, I feel the weight of financial struggles like a church mouse.  Most of my friends are in similar situations, which makes me wonder, what are we doing in our lives to attain the degrading title of "poor as a church mouse?"

I am too busy now to think about it.

Despite the challenges, I'm hopeful for change. I don't know when, but I'm considering ways to break free from this cycle of poverty.

I may start buying lottery tickets.
