Legacy Media as an Arbiter of Truth Is Dead, and No Time Too Soon

Since the days of Edward R Morro, the media has served as an establishment propaganda arm. Their pay was power, access, and advertising dollars while they sold out the American public.

Summary

Only when the public discovered alternative news and media sources did they truly become enlightened to the truth. After 125 years of propaganda, the public has finally had enough and is now empowered with a wealth of alternative information.

Cable news is in trouble. Their share is decreasing, and they are not generating profits. The old news model is gasping for breath, while the new news model flourishes. This decline is a testament to the public's growing awareness of media bias, a sign of their increasing enlightenment and understanding of the media landscape.

The number of media sources is large and growing, encompassing a diverse range of alternative news sources. This proliferation offers hope for a more balanced and transparent media landscape, with promising platforms such as Citizens Free Press, ZeroHedge, LewRockwell, Joe Rogan, Breitbart, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Substack, Rumble, Parler, TruthSocial, YouTube, Netflix, various podcasts, and many more.

YouTube, owned by Google, is the world's #1 source of video entertainment, with viewership of more than one billion hours each day-much greater than Disney.

Article:

If we watch conventional cable news, we get 13 minutes of yesterday's news filtered through the ideology of political correctness and wokeness, followed by 17 minutes of continuous, obnoxious advertisements every half hour. I question why people would subject themselves to this emotional abuse.

In steps big Pharma, which spends $5.15 billion on national TV ads per year. This influx of advertising money has significantly influenced the content and direction of cable news, contributing to their decline. Significantly limiting or banning big Pharma advertising is being discussed daily around the Capitol, between President Donald Trump and HHS Secretary Alex Azar, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Even Bernie Sanders is on board.

The major news outlets, including Fox, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN, collectively dominate the media landscape. However, even these giants are not immune to the public's growing distrust. This is evidenced by the significant 40 percent drop in viewership for MSNBC and CNN, a clear sign of the public's disillusionment with mainstream media.

At the same time, the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio, as government propaganda agents, have lost their funding. Although free to the public for viewing, the real cost has been borne by taxpayers, who have subsidized billions of dollars to maintain the illusion of fairness.

The only survivors will eventually be those who subscribe to the premises of Fair and Balanced, as layoffs and consolidations continue. Even the Los Angeles Times, purchased by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, is making the correct shift. From the days that I had a morning paper route delivering the Los Angeles Times, to today, I never thought that the Times would be nothing more than a Liberal biased rag.

Even artificial intelligence is getting into the game (AI). Yesterday, information was scarce, yet laced with inaccuracies. Today, information is abundant but still marred by inaccuracies.

Yesterday, many spent time accumulating information and knowledge. Today, it is at our fingertips. However, we must remain critical because programmers with ideological leanings wrote the AI code. Their product is skewed. For example, if Grammarly doesn't like your content, it will refuse to make the edit, labeling it as "sensitive content."

All of the consolidation and cancellations are excellent news for the public at large, as they become aware of what they have been up against.
